Knowledge through education is the focus at Athena School for Technical and Vocational Advancement Inc.

Our main mission is to provide the students an advance Technical knowledge for the booming Petro-Mechanical works and to satisfy the Clients with quality and dedicated craftsmen for local and foreign Construction Companies.

Athena School for Technical and Vocational Advancement Inc. offers the training courses for the following trades:

  • QC Piping Inspectors – course is 21 days
  • QC Structural Inspectors - course 16 days
  • QC Welding Inspectors - course is 21 days
  • Pipe Fitters/Fabricators – course is 26 days
  • Steel Fabricators – course is 10 days
  • Scaffolders – course is 10 days
  • Millwrights – course is 10 days
  • Riggers – course is 10 days
  • SMAW 6G Welder – course is 35 days
  • GTAW 6G Welder – course is 40 days
  • GTAW/SMAW 6G Welder – course is 52 days

We have 7 classrooms which can accommodate about 255 students per course.  

Course programs include study of materials and our reference books are in line with international codes and standards such as ANSI/ASME B31.3/B31.4/B31.8/API 1104/API 650 plus Saudi Aramco standards. Some of our courses and correspondence courses include software. All students receive certificates after successful completion and upon passing the course.  Our instructors are certified engineers having a strong background and big experiences in Petrochemical and Gas Plant Construction. 

In our years of experience, Mechanical work is one of the most applicable courses and the least understood topics. Our students will learn the fundamentals of a good design, how to maintain the piping, and what codes are applicable.   

The Athena School for Technical and Vocational Advancement Inc., is a jointly sponsored Training Trust, committed to serve both Labor and Management of the Mechanical work. To fulfill this mission, we will:

  • Provide quality training in the practical and technical aspects of the trade.
  • Prepare our graduates to succeed by meeting the needs of their employers and the industry we serve.
  • Promote professionalism and a positive image of the Mechanical Industry not only within the trade, but to the public as well.
  • Leave a legacy of service and cooperation to the Mechanical Industry that will set the standard for our successors.
